by Tyler Bohne
Tyler has been performing on stage since he was 9 years old, when he was Oliver in “Oliver Twist”. After many fun and exciting years on the stages of his hometown, Milwaukee, performing musical theatre, cable television sketch comedy (writer/actor on television’s “Joy Farm” which he won a national award for best promo comedy sketch) and numerous Shakespearian plays, Tyler moved to Chicago with his best friend and fellow writing partner, Patrick, to study Improvisation at I.O with Del Close who passed away just as they were putting the final touches on a show that he was directing with them.
Tyler and Patrick improvised their way around town in many different troupes and performed on many local stages all the while working as entertainers at “Navy Pier”. It was here at the Pier, where Tyler met his lovely and super talented wife, Danna, and shortly thereafter Tyler, Patrick, Danna and Patrick’s wife, Jennifer started the Chicago based theatre company, “HeadCheese Fat Boss Productions. (See video and bio info. at www.headcheesefatboss.com)
With the company, Tyler has co-written, produced and starred in many productions over the last 5 years, from touring children’s shows and storytelling, to the Critically acclaimed Holiday scat, “The Hipmas Carol”; a rhyming, beatnik adaptation of Dickens “Christmas Carol. Tyler has been hosting and emceeing variety shows and major events in Chicago since moving to town 9 years ago. He is very excited to have toured for two years with the national Broadway Touring Company of the one man hit, “Defending The Cavemen” and would like to give special thanks to his wife Danna for guiding him through night after night of standing on stage alone telling 1000 people about the difference between men and women.
Tyler can be seen in several films as of late, including the festival winning “Salt Creek County” from Downstate Productions and “Fancy Pants” with Richard Kind, Robert Carridine and Roddy Piper.
